Simone Aubert nous offre ici 2 pièces sonores douces et denses qui appellent une écoute allongé au sol en étoile. Pluie de voix lointaines, crépitements appétissants et vagues de sons arrivent et repartent sans qu’on s’en rendre compte, notre esprit s’étant échappé en promenade sur les ondes qui nous traversent. Loin du punk chaloupé de Massicot, voici la face blanche et bleutée de la musicienne en plongée dans les rares silences qui se cachent au fond des impasses de la ville.
Face A : Persévérance est un export stéréo d’une étape de composition d’une pièce sonore octophonique pour l’exposition « Cosmos Archaeology : Explorations in Time and Space » aux Pavillons de l’EPFL. Elle n’est composée que d’une voix et de sons ramenés par les astrophysiciens de plusieurs missions spatiales.
Face B : Open/Closed a été créée pour une pièce de danse du chorégraphe Pierre Piton à la Tanzhaus de Zürich et à l’Arsenic de Lausanne. La pièce n’est composée que d’une boucle voix traitée analogiquement.

Simone Aubert offers us 2 soft and dense sound pieces that ask for a listening lying on the ground open arms. Rain of distant voices, appetizing cracklings and waves of sounds come and go without noticing, our mind having escaped on a walk on the top of the waves crossing us. Far from the swaying punk of Massicot, here is the white and bluish face of the musician immersed in the rare silences hidden at the bottom of the city’s dead ends.
Side A: Persévérance is a stereo export of a composition stage of an octophonic sound piece for the exhibition “Cosmos Archaeology: Explorations in Time and Space” at the EPFL Pavilions. It’s composed only of a voice and sounds brought back by astrophysicists from several space missions.
Side B: Open/Closed was created for a dance piece by choreographer Pierre Piton at the Tanzhaus in Zürich and at the Arsenic in Lausanne. The piece is only composed of an analogically processed voice loop.
